Daryl Christofi was the first feature and second release exclusively published on the Daryl the Diver website on 27 April 2011[nb 1] by the BBC and Punchdrunk to coincide with the immersive experience The Crash of the Elysium. This feature was another part of a range of fiction published on tie-in websites as part of the viral marketing for the experience, by a fictional online profile about diver Daryl Christofi.

- The steamer Elysium and its crash plays pivotal role in the marketing and tie-in stories for STAGE: The Crash of the Elysium, however ironically, doesn't play a large role in the immersive experience itself as another Elysium, a spaceship, took narrative precedence.
- The mention of Daryl wanting to sell the salvage he'd retrieve from the Elysium to fund future dives contextualises his desire to retrieve the gold ingots worth over £10000000 as espoused in the previous story PROSE: Enthusiastic Amateur Diver Shares His Discoveries With You!.
