Darrol Blake
Darrol Blake (born 15 May 1937[1]) directed the Doctor Who television story The Stones of Blood.
He was later interviewed on the documentary Getting Blood from the Stones and recorded (with Mary Tamm) the original audio commentary on the DVD release of The Stones of Blood, as well as sharing his memories of the story on the two-part edition of Big Finish's charitable podcast series Toby Hadoke's Who's Round (THWR 196 and THWR 197).

Blake began as a design assistant on the BBC science fiction series Quatermass II, and then worked as a designer on The World of Wooster and Adam Adamant Lives!.
He later became a director and worked on several episodes of Doomwatch and the Thames Television children's programme Rainbow. Blake asked a puppeteer with whom he worked on that show, John Thirtle, and another, unidentified, puppeteer to provide the movements of the Megara in The Stones of Blood.[2]
His other television directing credits include The Tomorrow People, EastEnders, Coronation Street, Brookside, Emmerdale and Crossroads.
