Background[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Doctor was born on the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. (COMIC: The Daft Dimension 548)
Their only known relatives were a granddaughter, Susan Foreman, and an unnamed aunt. They also once had a wife, River Song. (COMIC: The Daft Dimension 509)
They could regenerate into different bodies when fatally injured. (COMIC: The Daft Dimensions 543) Multiple incarnations have been documented, the majority of which appeared to be men, portrayed by such actors as David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Peter Cushing. (COMIC: The Daft Dimension 510) The Thirteenth Doctor was the first to be played by a woman, a fact which generated a variety of split opinions. (COMIC: The Daft Dimension 510, The Daft Dimension 517) Accounts of Doctors with entirely non-human appearances have also been documented, specifically, ones that that bore the appearances of a Zarbi, an Ice Warrior, and a Drashig.
One piece of media instead presented the Doctor as a human called Dr. Who. (COMIC: The Daft Dimension 578)
