Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Exploring many themes relating to the history of comic books, this story was dedicated to Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Jack Kirby, Joe Simon, Roy Thomas, Scott Shaw, and Wally Wood.
  • Several of this story's central concepts evoke Alan Moore's run on Supreme, a run whose influence could previously be seen in Lance Parkin's novel The Infinity Doctors [+]Loading...["The Infinity Doctors (novel)"]. At one point in Presents, Joe Higgins considers naming a Superman-like superhero "Supreme".
  • Jim Sheldrake and Gideon Barrow are referenced with permission from Jay Eales. This story shares a similar aesthetic to Eales' Sheldrake stories by also describing comic book history from a skewed reality where real life people and characters have slightly different names.
