Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The newly-regenerated Doctor wears boots and a hat.
- The Doctor's trunk contains a signet ring, a recorder, a stripes-handled sonic screwdriver, a scarf, a stick of celery, a cat brooch, a paisley scarf, a shoe, a sonic screwdriver, rectangular frame glasses, a fez, an electric guitar, and a handbag.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Although it is not explicitly stated exactly where Contents falls within the Doctor's life, the illustration depicts a chest with an item owned by each known incarnation by that point (excluding the War Doctor), including a handbag presumably owned by the female incarnation from The Death List. The implication is therefore that this incarnation is the one that followed her. In a later interview to Radio Times, illustrator Russell T Davies mentioned the handbag as a reference to Jodie Whittaker's then-unannounced Thirteenth Doctor.[1]
- The Fourteenth Doctor was revealed in TV: The Power of the Doctor to be portrayed by David Tennant and therefore identical to a previous incarnation. This Doctor's clothes regenerated along with him and as such he does not choose his new outfit, ruling him out as the incarnation from this story.
- The Fifteenth Doctor is heavily implied to be this incarnation due to his appearance matching how this Doctor is described.
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The Doctor has a trunk in the TARDIS with clothes and items from previous incarnations. (TV: The Power of the Daleks)
