New Frontiers was a full cast audio anthology released on 2 March 2023 by Big Finish Productions, comprising the first release of the twelfth series of The Fourth Doctor Adventures It featured Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Louise Jameson as Leela and Nerys Hughes as Margaret Hopwood.

Recently, the world changed for Margaret Hopwood. Everything she knew was turned upside down by the arrival of a strange man in a blue box. And now nothing in her life seems the same.

So when he comes back with a lady called Leela and an invitation to an unusual art gallery, she’s more than happy to join him for the ride. And what a ride it is.  

Because it’s an art gallery on a distant world...where a deadly plan is about to commence - one involving creatures called Ice Warriors.

12.2 Antillia the Lost by Phil Mulryne (4 parts)

Antillia. A place of mystery. A manufactured island in space, lost to time. But now it’s finally been found.

The Doctor and his friends arrive on Antillia at the same time as an expeditionary party, delighted to solve one of the great mysteries of history. But they may have found more than they bargained for.

Some things are better off lost.

  • Both stories of the anthology were simultaneously released separately with prduction codes BFPTOMCD086 - BFPTOMCD087. However, the individual releases were available only as downloads.
  • This anthology's cover originally featured the 2018 logo, which had been used on Big Finish releases since July 2018.[1] It was updated to feature the 2022 logo before its release.[2]
  • The 1974-80 title sequence was an inspiration for Ryan Aplin's cover artworks of New Frontiers and Angels and Demons when merged together.[3]
