Jim'll Fix It special was a short scene broadcast on the second ever episode of Jim'll Fix It in 1975.
Synopsis[[edit] | [edit source]]
Jimmy Savile has fixed it for some fans to "meet Doctor Who". The Fourth Doctor materialises in the studio to meet the girls and hands out pieces of his scarf, jelly babies and tickets to the Doctor Who Exhibitions. The Doctor then dematerialises with the children, and rematerialises with them on the other side of the studio.[1]

Story notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Tom Baker is not billed on the closing credits, with the show's regular "With the Help of..." listing reading simply "Dr. Who".
- The pieces of the Doctor's scarf given to the young fixees were attached to the main scarf with Velcro,[1] enabling Tom Baker to detach them when required.
- This skit is unlikely to see the light of day again — as an extra either on a DVD Special Edition or a Blu-ray Fourth Doctor season box-set — due to the Jimmy Savile controversy.
