Victoria is teaching Jamie to read, starting with letters and fruit from a supply list as a guide, for example apples, breadfruit, cherries, damsons, grapefruit, peach.

Jamie mentions the desert worlds they've visited lately.

Korvin Base is one of the archaeological base camps. They report findings of hunter-gatherer peoples.
Gerrick Base doesn't report in one night.
Victoria describes her father's house as the home she thinks of whenever she's in danger.

This was the final performance for Deborah Watling as Victoria Waterfield before her death on 21 July 2017.
This story is told from both Victoria and Jamie's perspective, with a framing device at Victoria's house in the modern day.
According to the official script, the story is intended to be set in 2016.
