The Story of Extinction written by Ian Atkins was the second story in the 2016 The Companion Chronicles audio box set The Second Doctor: Volume One. It featured Jamie and Victoria.

- This was the final performance for Deborah Watling as Victoria Waterfield before her death on 21 July 2017.
- This story is told from both Victoria and Jamie's perspective, with a framing device at Victoria's house in the modern day.
