Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Author Dave Rudden intended for the characters in the story to represent the archetypes of "the Doctor" and "the Master" rather than any specific incarnations. However, he has acknowledged, the description of the Master as having a goatee and "sharp, angular features" matches the Roger Delgado incarnation of the Master.[1]
  • The art illustration features a silhouette depicting the Doctor wearing a jacket and a dented brimmed hat similar to that worn by the Fourth Doctor. However, the Doctor's gender is left unclear in the story, leaving it ambiguous which incarnation is present.

Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The Master, while posing as "the Doctor", uses the phrase, "please attend carefully". (TV: Logopolis)
