Ark of Whispers

The Ark of Whispers was a spaceship which served as a repository for cultures from the dawn of time. The ship’s mission was to keep the archive safe in silence until the end of the universe, where it would finally speak the languages aloud.

The ship ended up on a collision course with a populated planet. During this time a version of the Doctor from a parallel universe and Bernice Summerfield arrived onboard, triggering the ship’s computer interface. As they explored they taught the interface language, inadvertently breaking the sacred silence, and eventually deduced the ship’s predicament. Using the TARDIS tuner, they persuaded the interface to avert the collision. Afterwards the interface deleted all the knowledge it had acquired from them to continue its mission.
