Cassie Elizabeth Schofield or Cassie Hope Schofield (1981-2004), code name Artemis while employed by the Forge, was the mother of the Seventh Doctor's companion Hex, whose full name was Thomas Hector Schofield. Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Cassandra was born to Hilda Schofield in Royal Bolton Hospital on 7 April 1981. (AUDIO: Project: Destiny) Her father left home sometime during her childhood. (PROSE: Project: Valhalla)

She gave birth to her son in the Royal Bolton on 12 October 1998. She ran away from her life to live and was reported missing on 23 August 2001. (AUDIO: Project: Destiny) She worked at the Dusk Casino in Bermondsey until November, when she was turned into a vampire. The Sixth Doctor then took her to Norway, telling her to wait there until he found a cure. (AUDIO: Project: Twilight)

Her son, whom she referred to affectionately as "Little Tommy," was only six years old when she was killed by Nimrod in the Forge in November 2004. (AUDIO: Project: Lazarus) Nimrod kept her remains in a canister. (AUDIO: Project: Destiny)

Hex was raised by his father and maternal grandmother, whom he believed to be his mother until he was six. (AUDIO: Night Thoughts) He had only one photograph of Cassie, which was in his flat in Shoreditch. He regretted not bringing it with him before departing 2021 in the company of the Seventh Doctor and Ace. (AUDIO: No Man's Land)

In 2026, Hex poured his blood on her ashes and she was resurrected. Running purely on vampiric instincts, she attempted to feed on Hex, but the Seventh Doctor reminded her of her love for her son and she attacked Nimrod. She died once again when London was decimated by a destronic bomb. (AUDIO: Project: Destiny)

Hex and Sally Morgan's first child was named Cassie in her honour. (AUDIO: Signs and Wonders)
