Catherine Schell
Catherine Schell (born Katherina Schell von Bauschlott, 17 July 1944[1]) played Countess Scarlioni in the Doctor Who television story City of Death.
She was also considered for the role of Preston in Warriors of the Deep (TCH 38)

The Hungarian-born actress is best known for playing the shape-shifter Maya in the second season of Space: 1999 (1975-77), having previously played the Servant of the Guardian in the first season episode "Guardian of Piri". Before that, she was known for her appearances in films such as On Her Majesty's Secret Service (which also featured Joanna Lumley) and The Return of the Pink Panther. In recent years, Schell and her husband have run a bed and breakfast in Europe though she still makes occasional Space: 1999-related documentary and public appearances.

She was married to actor William Marlowe (who appeared in The Mind of Evil and Revenge of the Cybermen) from 1968-1977.
