Charlie was one of the regulars at the Papplewick Arms in 1852. He quite frequently joined Ada Lovelace and other clientele in a round of cards, involving gambling. One night, Charlie was joined by Lovelace, Harry, Ted, George, and the Fourth Doctor. The Doctor partnered up with Lovelace in their game of cribbage. (AUDIO: The Enchantress of Numbers)
