Chief of Operations (The Black Ship)

The Chief of Operations for the Bereznik space programme, as overseen by Damacles, was stationed in the base on the volcanic planet of VA 17.

In June 2066, he tracked Steve Zodiac and Fireball XL5 as it attempted to follow Damacles' Black Ship. Upon his return, the Chief relayed the details of the mission, stating that Strike Nine was pursued some distance to VA 17. In response, Damacles told the Chief to "dispose" of Strike Nine's commander. He later coordinated the planned ambush of XL5 at Space Station Velnar. He informed Damacles of the loss of contact and presumed destruction of Strike Two, causing him to call off the attack to prevent further losses. After Zodiac's sabotage, the Chief told Damacles that the base would succumb to the lava in five minutes. The Chief boarded Damacles' Black Ship during the evacuation but it was ultimately shot down by Centurion 9 after Damacles' plan of action was uncovered by Commander Zero and Professor Matic.
