Cylethian distress beacon
A Cylethian distress beacon was a device made by the Cylethian. (PROSE: Day of the Clown) It was put into their scoutships. Once it was used an inter-galactic rescue team would be on it's way to the place the signal was sent from. (TV: The Day of the Clown) However if someone would press it on Earth it would take them about 100 years to go there, because Cylith, the home planet of the Cylethian, was very far away. (PROSE: Day of the Clown)
When Rani Chandra saw a Cylethian distress beacon in Sarah Jane Smith's attic she immediately took it from the cupboard. Sarah Jane told Rani to be careful with it otherwise the would be an inter-galactic rescue team landing on the corner of Bannerman Road. (TV: The Day of the Clown) Even though Rani would be 114 by the time they would have gotten there, they would come for sure. (PROSE: Day of the Clown)
