A Cylethian scoutship was a spacecraft that was used by the Cylethian. (PROSE: Day of the Clown) They put Cylethian distress beacons into their scoutships. Once the distress beacon was used an inter-galactic rescue team would be on it's way to the place the signal was sent from. (TV: The Day of the Clown) However if someone would press it on Earth it would take them about 100 years to go there, because Cylith, the home planet of the Cylethian, was very far away. (PROSE: Day of the Clown) Sarah Jane Smith owned a distress beacon from a Cylethian scoutship. (TV: The Day of the Clown)
