The one hundred twenty-sixth issue of the Doctor Who DVD Files - "The Ultimate Build-up Doctor Who Encyclopaedia" had a cover date of 30 October 2013.

- Each issue came with a DVD release.
- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.
- "The Earth will be rid of its human population within three weeks ..."
- The Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith land in the idyllic English village of Devesham. But all is not as it seems, and soon the time travellers are battling the Kraals, aliens who have conceived a terrifying fate for the people of Earth. - The UK's Space Defence Station (set up to detect and repel alien invasions) was the only one in the world (1973) and was overseen by UNIT.
- Winifred Gillyflower opened the gates of Sweetville in 1893.
- When the SS Madame de Pompadour was hit by an ion storm in the Dagmar Cluster, the repair droids utilised human body parts in their repairs of the ship.
- Actress Billie Piper's middle name is Paul. She was born in Swindon, Wiltshire on 22 September 1982.
- The planet Sense Sphere was rich in the rare metal molybdenum, which has a melting point of 2622 degrees centigrade. It was also home to the dominant telepathic life-forms the Sensorites and the cave-dwelling giant spiders the Zilgans.
- The historical pirate Henry Avery who the Doctor met in The Curse of the Black Spot was previously referenced in The Smugglers with the Doctor caught up in a search for Avery's fabled gold.
- 13 Paternoster Row was in 1890s London, home to the Paternoster Gang of Vastra, Strax and Jenny Flint.
- George Stephenson was the first civil engineer to use steam locomotives on the inter-city railways.
- Some subscribers experienced a delay of receiving this issue of several weeks.
