The Dallas County Criminal Courts Building was located on Houston Street. President John F. Kennedy's motorcade passed the building on 22 November 1963 and the inmates held in the cells there had a grandstand view of his assassination on the neighbouring Elm Street. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)
