Duerte Rodriguez
Duerte Rodriguez was a member of the British Rocket Group's UK Rocket Project 9.2, the Guinevere One space probe. Along with the rest of the team, he worked out of Unit 42 at Fanshield Industrial Park in Reading. He was best friends with senior programmer Matthew Nicolson, a friendship predicated on Duerte making offensive remarks about Matthew's wheelchair. Duerte had a personal gimmick of wearing shorts in all weathers, and had been criticized by Guinevere press officer Luanne for not wearing shoes, allowing his "disgusting" toes to be on display. A member of the A-positive blood type, Duerte was the donor of the blood sample placed onboard Guinevere One which was subsequently used by the Sycorax to control one-third of the Earth's population.
