History[[edit] | [edit source]]
While marching through the forests and snow, Heinrich Graul was one of at least two German soldiers supposedly shot down by Russian soldiers on the Eastern Front in 1915. They were infact killed by the Daleks. As part of the Dalek Project, at least two bronze Daleks appeared on the Eastern Front and murdered Graul, claiming to his father Erik that the Russians were responsible so he would produce German Proto-Daleks for them. In December 1916, wounded Russian soldiers continued to flood back into St Petersburg. The Tsarist regime, then led by Nicholas II, began to buckle under the strain of the conflict and workers demanding better conditions displayed revolutionary attitudes by singing "La Marseillaise". That month, Grigori Rasputin was murdered by aristocrats who feared he was exerting too much influence on Tsarina Alexandra. The Socialist Revolutionary Fighting Section managed to frame the assassination as an attack on the lower classes, creating further resentment towards the Tsarist regime. (PROSE: The Wages of Sin)
Ultimately, the wartime conditions in Russia led to mass upheaval which culminated in the twin revolutions of 1917 and toppled the Tsarist regime. (PROSE: The Wages of Sin)
