Flo was a mutual friend of Ace and Ange. When Ace came back to Perivale in 1989, she learned that Flo had married a plumber nicknamed "Darth Vader", another of their acquaintances. (TV: Survival)
One Sunday, Darth Vader taught Ace how to drive, and after an hour of practising in his beaten-up Ford Transit in the car park of a B&Q, they headed out onto the Westway, where Ace accelerated up to 80 mph, making Flo scream and giving Ace a love for speed. (PROSE: At Childhood's End)
