In an alternate timeline, the flyer was an aerial vehicle which was acquired by the Ninth Doctor and his companions, Rose Tyler and Jack Harkness, as the Cybermen turned Earth in the year 2006 into Cyber-Earth. It was equipped with a shield which protected its passengers from the Cybermen's techno-virus. (COMIC: Supremacy of the Cybermen)
