The Humanian Era described that part of the timeline during which humans played a significant role in the history of Mutter's Spiral and eventually the universe. Study of the later years of this era was forbidden by the Time Lords, as it lay outside their sphere of influence. (TV: Frontios)

As the Seventh Doctor was transporting the remnants of the Old Master, who had been recently exterminated by the Daleks due to his crimes, back to Gallifrey, the Master broke free of the wooden chest he was locked inside, causing timing malfunction on the TARDIS, causing an emergency landing in the last days of the 20th century of the Humanian Era. He stayed there during his regeneration into the Eighth Doctor and during the Master's planning to take over the Doctor's body, and the shift from 1999 to 2000. (TV: Doctor Who)

Events in the Web of Time which were recorded by the Matrix as falling within the Humanian Era included the R101 crashing in France on 5 October 1930, Adolf Hitler becoming Chancellor of Germany on 30 January 1933, Edward VIII abdicating the British throne on 10 December 1936, German forces invading Poland on 1 September 1939 and the evacuation of Dunkirk on 27 May 1940.
