J. Edgar Hoover
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
J. Edgar Hoover was an individual who served as the Director of the FBI.
In July 1945, he wrote a handwritten note regarding a letter that had been intercepted by the American Office of Censorship. The letter was addressed to a Chicago newspaper, and alleged that Adolf Hitler was living in a hacienda nearly 500 miles away from Buenos Aires. Hoover's handwriting was scrawled and indecipherable, but the note indicated that he took the allegation seriously. (PROSE: The Shadow in the Glass)
