After fortune teller Irvin Death (PROSE: Daleks Suffer Heavy Losses! [+]Loading...["Daleks Suffer Heavy Losses! (short story)"]) predicted that he would be assassinated, he sought help from Amos Burke. Burke, Death, and Henry were soon shot at by a passing car, leading Burke to make a call to Les Hart, explaining the situation and giving a description of the vehicle. Les asked if he and Tim should come over, with Burke responding that no murder had occurred, and that they should stay at work.

After Death's crystal ball exploded, killing Death, Amos Burke called in Les and Tim. (COMIC: Who Killed Death? (part 1) [+]Loading...{"part":"1","1":"Who Killed Death? (comic story)"}) Early in the investigation, Les found an anonymous invitation booked for 8:30, the same time as Burke's invitation, leading Burke to question three suspects: Miss Lister, Marvin Merlin, and Charles the Great.
