Lowri Palin was the landlady of Y Pren Marw inn in Glyngatwg, Wales.

She met Joshua Steele, who was 8 years younger than her, when they were teenagers, and at a summer wedding in 2007 they acknowledged their love for one another, though never took a relationship any further. Lowri inherited Y Pren Marw when she was 38, though when Ruby Sunday met her on 9 November 2024, she was in her fifties, with Joshua a daily visitor to the pub.
