By 2066, a manager was in charge of the Law Stationers Company.
He was visited by Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward and Parker after they found that Mr Steelman used paper watermarked with the company's name, upon which he had threatened to kill his enemies and rule the world. The manager confirmed to Penelope that the paper he used one was one of their better note papers and, without needing to consult any records, told her that only one consignment had been bought and delivered recently. Penelope and Parker visited the address she had coaxed from the manager and, although the hideout was abandoned, they were able to find a clue which led them to Monte Carlo and back on Steelman's trail.
