A micro-explosive was a type of explosive weapon small enough to go undetected when added to a glass of wine.

River Song put micro-explosives in wine that was drunk by Dorium Maldovar, then paid for her vortex manipulator with a Callisto Pulse that Dorium could use the disarm them. (TV: The Pandorica Opens)
