In 1970s, Paul Magrs and his Mam lived in Newton Aycliffe. In December, 1979, they went Christmas shopping, using a salvaged shopping trolley that somebody had pushed down Burn Lane, for food and things to decorate their home. They went into shops such as Fine Fare, and the "Council Van Santa" went around the streets of Newton Aycliffe, the ETAs printed in the Newton News. (PROSE: Party Like it's 1979)
By 1981, David and Chris grew up with their Mam and her husband Brian in Sampson Place, located in Newton Aycliffe. One night in January, Chris began sleepwalking, and his family went to look for him by the Burn. (PROSE: Fanboys)
