Nicholas Pegg
Nicholas Pegg is an actor, director and writer. He is perhaps most prominent to casual Doctor Who fans as a frequent interviewee on Doctor Who Confidential, where he explains the difficulties of being a lead Dalek operator. As "the Watcher"[[edit]]
Pegg was also a long-standing contributor to Doctor Who Magazine, mainly under the persona of "The Watcher". Starting in 1999's DWM 281, Pegg first wrote as "The Watcher" in the column It's the end, but..., before quickly establishing the annual tradition of The Watcher's Christmas Quiz.
In 2009, the Watcher returned for a series of articles titled The Watcher's Guide to....
Into the 2010s, another monthly comedic column by the Watcher was launched titled Wotcha!. In late October 2017, DWM dismissed Pegg due to a coded message in Wotcha! insulting Panini and BBC Worldwide.[1][2]
