Oliver's mother was at home when Oliver and Melanie Bush arrived, having escaped from Nazis. She thought the vicar would bring help, but Mel told her the Germans killed the vicar. Mel and Oliver wanted to go for help, but Oliver's mother didn't want them to. In the end, she realised that they had to go. (PROSE: Special Weapons)
