Professor Bernice Summerfield and the Dead Men Diaries (anthology)
Professor Bernice Summerfield and the Dead Men Diaries, or simply The Dead Men Diaries, was the first prose-based Bernice Summerfield publication to be published by Big Finish Productions. It followed their first series of audio dramas based on Virgin New Adventures and Virgin Bernice Summerfield New Adventures novels throughout 1999 and 2000. It is also the first anthology of Bernice Summerfield stories ever published. Its title references Bernice Summerfield's first book Down Among the Dead Men.
Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
Who but Professor Bernice Summerfield, interstellar archaeologist, raconteur, boozer and wit, would get other people to write her autobiography — albeit under threat of death from two bounty hunters sent by a publisher far too concerned about little things like deadlines?
These stories are an ideal introduction to the life of Bernice Summerfield: falling off cliffs, getting sacrificed to orange pygmies, saving the universe and trying to buy a new frock.
Cliffhanging escapes! Adventure on distant planets! Scones for tea!
