Ristallian crater-hounds were red, dog-like domesticated animals.
They appeared to have low intelligence and as a result were impervious to being psychically attacked; when trying to do this to Archie, Sashana asked why he was "so stupid". According to Lozz, Archie could "always sniff out a wrong 'un". They also answered to dog whistles.
Archie was a hound that hung around with the Kaballus Kids in the Kaballus Quarter of Cornucopia. (COMIC: Matildus)
