I had a decent idea but it required nested dropdown infoboxes. Something I don't think this wiki's markup currently allows. (Yes, I tried.)
The really crucial part of that idea is just sectioning off parts of the article to say "things inside of this box do not necessarily happen in a linear order, but do happen after the things that came before in the article and before the things that came after in the article."
Edit to clarify: You need to be able to nest these hypothetical boxes.
