Welcome to the Tardis:About SherlockTheII

Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask on my talk page. Doug86 12:16, October 24, 2020 (UTC)

Merry Christmas[[edit source]]

Hello, there. I just wanted to stop by and wish you the merriest of Christmases, and a Happy New Year. May 2021 bring you the same you that I get when I read you contribution to the Doctors' biographies, especially the Time Lord Victorious stuff. Hopefully I'll have earned or been gifted the funds needed to obtain them myself soon! BananaClownMan 14:11, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

For(u)m Letter[[edit source]]

Hey there, I hope your Halloween was decent. As you might know, we've not had forums for over two years at this point. A few of the regular editors have been having a discussion on this topic at Forum talk:Index and we'd like the input of other prominent editors if you have the inclination. Cheers. Barber-Surgeon[[edit source]]

Hi Sherlock! Can I ask why you removed the Barber-Surgeon's front section from the time war article? Editoronthewiki 21:03, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Yes I quickly realised it wasn't being deleted heh, sorry to ask before you were finished Editoronthewiki 16:26, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Greetings, User:SherlockTheII. I don't believe we've ever talked before, but I have always admired your editing and wanted, as a show of respect, to clear the air regarding a recent edit I made which appears to have caused you some umbrage, in regards to apparent plagiarism. You see, because I find myself disagreeing with the current practices and attitudes, I'm planning to leave both wikis after I get what I'm currently working on finished to get it out of my system, then leave it on both wikis in loyalty to the readers, whichever path they choose, but I had to keep the Fandom Wiki in close similarity to the Independent Wiki to prevent other users edits being removed by accident, which is why I moved over recent edits there here. I even tried to use the copyright system to avoid causing trouble, which I seem to have only brought more of. So, I was not trying to be disrespectful when I moved your edit over. I was doing my best to make sure it was not accidently deleted when I (or an Admin if they migrate it over for me) update both wikis with my final edits. I hope this straightens out any misunderstandings. Sincerely, BananaClownMan 10:11, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
