On 13 April, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1964 - Pre-filming for The Aztecs began at Ealing Studios. All of Carole Ann Ford's scenes from "The Warriors of Death" and "The Bride of Sacrifice" were filmed. This allowed Ford to take a two week holiday and miss the studio recording for those episodes. (TCH 2)
- 1965 - Pre-filming for The Chase continued at Ealing Studios Stage 3A/B. Filmed that day was the evacuation of the Mary Celeste. (TCH 5)
- 1981 - Studio filming for Four to Doomsday took place at BBC Television Centre studio 6. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor)
- 1982 - Studio filming for Snakedance took place at BBC Television Centre studio 6. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor)
- 1988 - Location filming for Remembrance of the Daleks took place. (Doctor Who The Handbook: The Seventh Doctor)
- 1989 - Location filming for The Curse of Fenric took place. (Doctor Who The Handbook: The Seventh Doctor)
- 2010 - Big Finish's audio adaptation of the unproduced TV story Crime of the Century was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2016 - The Big Finish audio story Order of the Daleks was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2017 - The Big Finish audio story The Night Witches was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2018 - The Big Finish audio story Warlock's Cross was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2021 - The BBC announced the vinyl version of The Ice Warriors.
- 2023 - Big Finish's The Diary of River Song audio anthology The Orphan Quartet was recorded at the Soundhouse.
