The Second Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon visited the 1648 frost fair, where the Thames had frozen over. The Doctor told Jamie that it was a common occurrence of the time due to an ongoing mini Ice Age. The fair consisted of a collection of stalls set up bank-to-bank selling goods and performing theatrics. The theatre included a Mummers play featuring the Lord of Misrule and Robin Hood and his Merry Men. (PROSE: The Roundheads)
