In August 1751, Oliver Middlemint was murdered by his brother-in-law Sir Geoffrey Balsam in Africa so that he could gain access to his fortune of £5,000. Sir Geoffrey told his sister Theodosia that her husband died of the sleeping sickness. (AUDIO: The Behemoth)
