A Brief History of Space and Time was a feature in The Roleplaying Game: Second Edition Rulebook which told a history of the Doctor's universe accompanied by numerous untitled adventure seeds.
The feature was reprinted in Doctors and Daleks Player's Guide without the adventure seeds.

- The Petronella Osgood murdered by Missy in TV: Death in Heaven [+]Loading...["Death in Heaven (TV story)"] is said here to be a Zygon.
- The section on the Master mentions that every incarnation of the Master's first regeneration cycle had the same face due to his control of regeneration, something established in PROSE: CIA File Extracts [+]Loading...["CIA File Extracts (novel)"] and PROSE: The Master [+]Loading...["The Master (reference book)"], though those earlier sources had also established a break in the norm, spanning the Master's sixth and seventh incarnations, in which he adopted the persona of the Monk.
