Aaraandandal slime beasts were a species. The Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald were about to be "turned into toast" by one when Simon used the telepathic circuits of the Doctor's TARDIS to materialise the craft around the pair, saving them from harm. (PROSE: When the Wolves Came)
