Ahmed (Night of the Humans)
Ahmed was a Sittuun member of the Beagle XXI expedition to the Gyre in 250,339. Like many of the Sittuun, Ahmed received his Arabic name from the Syrians who first discovered their homeworld in the Battani-045 system.
Joining the Beagle XXI crew at the same time as Charlie, the pair initially had a rivalry as Ahmed believed that Charlie had only got the position due to his father Jamal al-Jehedeh being the Captain, however, they eventually formed a close friendship. When the Beagle XXI crew launched a mission to destroy the Gyre to avoid the resulting devastation its impact with the comet Schuler-Khan would have on their system, the crew began being picked off by the native humans and Sollogs.
Ahmed was one of only four survivors alongside Charlie, Jamal and Doctor Heeva when he and Charlie encountered the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond. Ahmed and Charlie initially took them hostage, but they lost the Doctor to the humans who ambushed them. Ultimately Ahmed agreed to help Amy and Dirk Slipstream rescue the Doctor, but was killed when the Sollogs attacked. (PROSE: Night of the Humans)
