Alex was the son of an Archduke of an unnamed planet and the brother of Natasha. They were friends of Princess Clio. When she turned five, she was poisoned by her Uncle Ferdand on behalf of his son Malvek, ruler of Dolmara. The First Doctor put Clio into stasis, preventing her from dying. At first, Alex was present when she awoke, getting older every time she saw him, but later he did not appear. When she asked Natasha where he was, she ran off weeping. (PROSE: The Glass Princess)
