Professor Alex Thorrin was a scientist and inventor.
The Marquis te Rosscarrino convinced him to help fund the search for the Ultimate Treasure. However, the treasure was not valuables, but the idea of appreciating the universe. When he went through the door that would grant him his greatest desire, he was placed in suspended animation with the Marquis and was given the illusion that he had discovered the secret of immortality. He lived the rest of his life in that dream. (PROSE: The Ultimate Treasure)
