Alfred Dreyfus

Captain Dreyfus was a part of the Shadow Directory. He and Anton Jarre were recruited by the Directory in 1883 while they were at the École Polytechnique.
Dreyfus was the centre of a scandal in 19th century France. The Directory was considered a threat to the Brotherhood of the Immanent Flesh, so they made it appear he was selling military secrets to foreign powers. Dreyfus was convicted of treason and imprisoned on Devil's Island, and the Directory discredited. (PROSE: The Death of Art)
