Alternate timeline (Day of the Daleks)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Building towers, seen by the Third Doctor. (TV: Day of the Daleks)

After they first developed reliable time travel, the Dalek Empire used it to go back and create an alternate version of the 22nd century, allowing them to try the 2150s Dalek invasion of Earth over again after its prior foiling. (TV: Day of the Daleks, PROSE: The History of the Daleks, etc.)

According to the Dalek Survival Guide, this constituted "version of history C" of the invasion, after the version foiled by the First Doctor and another, similar one. (PROSE: Dalek Survival Guide) The Dalek Combat Training Manual referred to this timeline as an "aberrant timeline". History[[edit] | [edit source]]

Following the death of Sir Reginald Styles in the 20th century the peace process which he was a part of collapsed, leading to a series of wars on Earth. In the subsequent years Styles' death was reframed to suggest he was seeking power for himself and lured world leaders to Auderly House intending to kill them, but was caught in an explosion which destroyed the house as well. (TV: Day of the Daleks)

During the wars that reigned on Earth books were still published concerning the history of Earth. (TV: Day of the Daleks)

Then the Daleks invaded, subjugating Earth and installed controllers to monitor and maintain the factory-like conditions of the human populace. Whilst the Earth's mineral wealth was sent back to Skaro. (TV: Day of the Daleks)

Groups of human guerillas opposed and fought against the Dalek occupation of Earth, even stealing their time travel devices to attempt to travel back in time and change history. (TV: Day of the Daleks)
