Alukah was the throneworld of an intergalactic empire of vampires. Since Alukah's rotational and orbital periods were the same, half of the planet was constantly facing away from its star; in the centre of this dark side was an icebound desert continent where the Alukahites built their Blood Citadel.
Billions of years after the Alukahites were destroyed in a war with a race of celestial beings, Bernice Summerfield and a team of archaeologists went to Alukah to start excavating the ruins of the Blood Citadel. (PROSE: Predating the Predators)
