Animae particles were used by the Artificers of Wrall to animate their holy texts. (COMIC: The Pictures of Josephine Day) Josie Day was drawn as a portrait using animae particles. (COMIC: A Matter of Life and Death) The Eighth Doctor believed that Josie absorbed some animae particles which were activated due to the arrival of the Doctor's TARDIS waking up an outdated telepathic circuit left behind in his house. This caused Josie's paintings to come to life. (COMIC: The Pictures of Josephine Day)
