The Antipho were a race of peaceful, reptilian travellers with large, green eyes and long, green, snake-like tongues. They crashed in the Arctic in 2019. Forced to hide from direct sunlight, which would kill them, they effected repairs to their craft under the water. During the six-month Arctic night, they had become trapped in the ice. The timely arrival of the Tenth Doctor during an eclipse resulted in the ice being disrupted enough for them to make a safe escape. (COMIC: Arctic Eclipse)
