Apollo missions

As the Eleventh Doctor told Amy Pond, a native of 2010, Apollo 17 was the last official Apollo mission, following Apollo 11's landing on the Moon on 20 July 1969. It was followed by a series of five unofficial Apollo missions, ending with Apollo 22 in June 1980. (PROSE: Apollo 23)

Apollo 17 left the Moon's surface on 14 December 1972. This was witnessed by an energy creature which had been stranded there and had followed vehicle tracks to the ship. (PROSE: Christmas on the Moon)
