Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Born circa 1895, (PROSE: The Two Doctors [+]Loading...["The Two Doctors (novelisation)"]) the Doña Arana was married to Don Vincente Arana and lived with him and their staff, including Anita's mother, (TV: The Two Doctors [+]Loading...["The Two Doctors (TV story)"]) on a thriving olive plantation in Andalusia. They had three children who all died of smallpox, after which she had a shrine built.

The Doña Arana's husband died circa the 1960s and she subsequently dismissed all of her servants and estate workers (PROSE: The Two Doctors [+]Loading...["The Two Doctors (novelisation)"]) to live a reclusive life on the hacienda, occupying herself with her religion. (TV: The Two Doctors [+]Loading...["The Two Doctors (TV story)"]) What few things she needed were supplied by Father Ignatius, the only person who ever visited her.
